Food & Nutrition Support

Building on this initial success, Aid to Afghan Children received a generous donation of £1650 from group of friends in the UK and US, aimed at providing three months of essential food supplies to the 30 most vulnerable families (150 individuals including children) in the winter of 2024 in Kabul. The food packs included staples such as flour, rice, lentils, red beans, tea, peas, sugar, salt, and cooking oil, alleviating severe economic hardships for these families.

Beneficiaries:

The comprehensive assessment of the families revealed:

Widows without income: Women resorting to begging or selling bread on the streets, with their small children often working to support the family.

Displaced individuals: Families who had moved from distant provinces to Kabul due to economic challenges.

Municipal employees: Workers facing severe economic difficulties.
